How to host a successful fundraiser

Recommendation for your social media posts.

IMPORTANT: specify the address or the scheduled location in all your communications.

Let’s team up and make a real impact!

Your support is crucial to our cause. Be sure to bring our custom fundraising Wendy’s flyer to help us achieve our goal. When you show our flyer, 30% of qualified sales will directly support our mission.

We can’t wait to see you at ADDRESS and DATE!

Get the word out as soon as possible!

  • Email, text, and use social media. Ask everyone to save the date on their calendars; we all have busy schedules.

Distribute your official event flyer to family and friends

  • Text, email and use social media. Encourage your organization to “Like,” “Share,” and “Retweet” the post directly from your organization’s profile.
  • Create a public Facebook event and invite your community.
  • Announce your fundraiser on your website and add a link to a downloadable flyer PDF.
  • Put a flyer in your organization’s newsletter.

Utilize Email Campaigns

  • Send out newsletters to parents and community members.

Send a reminder

  • Post on social media and email a few days before your fundraiser to remind your family and friends of the event.

Encourage your guests to bring family and friends.

  • Inviting your guests to bring just one more person can double your donation total.

Alert the press

  • Contact local newspapers and media. They’re always looking for information on charitable events in the community.

Remember your custom flyer.

  • Ensure everyone attending your fundraiser brings an official event flyer to show. We also accept flyers shown on cell phones. Fundraiser guests must present a valid fundraiser flyer with each order to receive credit for the sale.

Encourage DRIVE-THRU and CARRY-OUT orders.

  • Remind everyone that their drive-thru (where available) or carry-out order will count! (Delivery orders excluded.)

Host an Engaging Event

  • Make it fun and interactive to draw people in. For example, the school principal, teacher, or parent will clean everyone’s table at the event, invite the school mascot to join, or even request permission to paint the windows with school colors.

Create a Countdown

  • Counting down to the fundraiser’s day can build urgency. Regular updates can motivate people to make a purchase and contribute.

Promote on social media

  • Use the suggested text, personalize it, and share with the graphics and your custom flyer on social media. Remember to ask your network to promote your post. Let’s get this party started!
