Bonnie Simon joined Hamra Enterprises in November 2016, taking on the role of Regional Director of Operations in Chicago. With a career spanning 37 years with the Wendy’s brand, Bonnie has amassed a wealth of experience and held various positions that have contributed to her comprehensive understanding of the business.

Over the course of her career, Bonnie has imbibed valuable lessons, one of which is the importance of taking care of one’s team. Embracing a principle advocated by Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas, she learned that fostering a supportive environment for her team leads to reciprocal care and optimal business performance. She also emphasizes the significance of removing obstacles hindering her team’s ability to excel in their roles. For new members joining the Hamra Enterprises family, Bonnie offers straightforward advice: keep it simple and always prioritize the guest as their primary concern.

Born and raised in McHenry County, Illinois, Bonnie’s roots in the Crystal Lake/McHenry area span four generations, and she currently resides in McHenry where she has lived for nearly 30 years.

Outside of work, Bonnie enjoys gardening, boating on the Chain of Lakes, canning with her husband, and spending time with her adult children in various activities, from family travels to supporting her eldest in coaching high school football. Bonnie cherishes the familial atmosphere at Hamra Enterprises, finding it to be an extension of the camaraderie she experienced working for the Wendy’s brand for many years. After nearly 4 decades in the business, Bonnie continues to find fulfillment in her role at Hamra.
